Introduction

These guidelines are intended to assist authors in preparing and submitting abstracts for presentation at RSACPCon 2026, Indore. Adherence to these instructions will facilitate an efficient review process and ensure uniformity across all submissions.

Formatting Instructions

Please submit your abstract as per following format

  • Title: The abstract title should be concise and accurately reflect the content
  • Please mention the award category in which you wish to participate
  • Authors and Affiliations: List all contributing authors with their institutional affiliations and email addresses. The presenting author should be clearly indicated.
  • Font and Layout: Times New Roman, 12 pt, single spacing, and left alignment.
  • Abbreviations: Define abbreviations upon first use in the abstract.

Abstract Content

  • Originality: Abstracts must have original research, case series or case reports mentioning if the full article has been published or presented at other conferences.
  • Scope: Submissions should be relevant to the conference theme
  • Language: All abstracts must be written in clear English, following British spelling conventions.
  • Structure: Abstracts should typically include:

For original articles– (Word Limit:Abstracts should not exceed 300 words, excluding title and author details)

  • Background/Objectives-mention what is known and study hypothesis. Aims and objectives should be clearly defined.
  • Methods- include Ethical Committee approval, trial registration, patient consent, settings and design, interventions, and statistical analysis used
  • Results- Mention P values, SD with Mean, IQR with Median along with 95% confidence interval
  • Conclusions-should justify primary objective
  • References: limit to 3 references and use a consistent citation style.
  • Keywords:Provide 3 to 5 appropriate MeSH keywords

For case reports and case series – (Word Limit:Abstracts should not exceed 150 words, excluding title and author details)

  • Background (mention what is known and what is intended to be projected in the present case. Highlight novelty)
  • Cases/Case Description (include details of cases/case. Mention patient consent)
  • Conclusion: highlighting the key points for managing the case
  • References: Include upto 5 latest references
  • Keywords: Provide 3 to 5 appropriate MeSH keywords
  • Photo: Single relevant photo can be attached

Submission Process

  • Online Submission: All abstracts must be submitted through the Google Form Link available on website (rsacpcon2026.com) before the deadline (15th February 2026).
  • File Format: Submit abstracts as Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) or PDF files
  • Confirmation: An acknowledgement email will be sent upon successful submission.

Review and Notification

  • Peer Review: All abstracts will undergo a blinded peer review process by the scientific committee.
  • Criteria: Submissions will be evaluated based on scientific merit, relevance, clarity, and originality.
  • Notification: Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection by email

Presentation Guidelines

  • Accepted Abstracts: May be selected for oral, poster, or e-poster presentations.
  • Registration: mandatory for the presenter
  • Only RSACP Members can submit in the Award Category
  • Publication: Accepted abstracts may be published in the official conference proceedings or a partner journal.

Ethical Considerations

  • Human/Animal Studies: All research involving human participants or animals must have received appropriate ethical approval.
  • Conflict of Interest: Authors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest.

Guidelines for Poster Presentation Topic: Futuristic Anaesthesia (For 2nd & 3rd Year Postgraduate Students)

Objective
To promote understanding of emerging technologies in anaesthesia, encourage innovation, and develop scientific presentation skills among postgraduate students.

General Instructions (All PGs)
• Poster must be original and evidence-based
• Clear headings, bullet points, and visuals should be used
• Avoid excessive text and overcrowding
• Be prepared for oral discussion with judges

Guidelines for 2nd-Year PG Students
Focus: Conceptual understanding and awareness
• Introduction to futuristic anaesthesia
• Overview of emerging technologies (AI, monitoring, automation, green anaesthesia)
• Emphasis on patient safety and future scope
Evaluation Emphasis: Clarity of concepts, organisation, and visual appeal

Guidelines for 3rd-Year PG Students
Focus: Clinical relevance and critical thinking
• Integration of futuristic technologies into clinical practice
• Closed-loop systems, personalised anaesthesia, ethical challenges
• Comparison of present vs future practices
Evaluation Emphasis: Innovation, clinical applicability, and scientific reasoning

Design & Layout
• Minimum font size: 24 pt (poster body text)
• Use diagrams, infographics, and flowcharts
• Word limit: 700–800 words
• Professional colour theme recommended

References
• 2nd Year PGs: Minimum 3 references
• 3rd Year PGs: Minimum 5 references
• Recent peer-reviewed journals preferred

Use of AI Tools
AI tools may be used for literature search and language refinement only. Content must be reviewed, understood, and cited
appropriately.

(2) Entries

  • (a) 1st Come 1st serve basis.
  • (b) If>30 Entries, then a short 1 min video will be called from all participant and judged by panel of judges to select 30 Entries out of all.

(3) 3 min time will be allowed to all final participants to:-

  • (a) Introduce themselves
  • (b) Small performance of their choice
  • (c) Ramp Walk

(4) Prizes to be won in various categories, which will be declared before final performances.
